Lighting Science gets preliminary injunction against Philips

• Involves trade secrets • Court opines LSG ‘likely to prevail’ in its suit Lighting Science Group Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: LSCG), a developer and integrator of LED lighting products, says the Sacramento County Superior Court has issued a preliminary injunction against Philips Solid State Lighting Solutions Inc., Koninklijke Philips Electronics N.V. and Philips Electronics North America Corp.
The injunction prevents Philips from using or relying on confidential or trade secret information supposedly obtained from LSG.
The court found that LSG was "likely to prevail on the merits" in its action pending against Philips.
In March LSG sued, alleging, among other things, that Philips had misappropriated confidential information and engaged in unfair trade practices.
Lighting Science has a Sacramento office.
A request made to Philips for comment has not received a response.
