•  Opens Central Valley office to handle demand

•  Can also be used to touch up lawns

The Central Valley’s unique combination of thousands of foreclosures and on-going drought is spelling opportunity for a Silicon Valley company.

Green Polymer Systems of Los Gatos says it is opening a new office in Clovis to tap what it sees as a vast market for its product – a type of coloring that it says turns brown, burned out lawns golf course green.

Dubbed Green Canary Grass and Turf Treatment, the privately held company says its non-toxic coloring solution helps owners maximize property value by transforming dry, diseased, or dormant grass into natural-looking green turf.

A spokesman also says it can be used to “touch up” regular turf.

This is the company’s first expansion outside of Silicon Valley.
