•  Hotel to open in early December

The Ritz-Carlton Highlands in North Lake Tahoe says it hopes to hire about 300 employees through an online application process.

The luxury hotel is set to open in early December at the Northstar-at-Tahoe resort.

Applicants for management and non-management jobs in guest services, culinary, engineering, housekeeping and the food and beverage department are being sought, says Allen Highfield, general manager for the resort. A few administrative jobs will be posted as well.

Although many leadership positions have been filled from the Ritz-Carlton chain, expectations are that the vast majority of the new postings will be filled by local candidates in Lake Tahoe, Northern California and nearby Reno, Nev.

To post for a position and begin the interview process, qualified candidates should visit www.ritzcarlton.com, click on the careers button in the lower left corner of the page, then click on “Your Opportunities” and select Management or Non-Management positions. The page will prompt the candidate for a location. The location is Lake Tahoe in California.

Once the application has been received and reviewed, qualified candidates will be contacted to continue the interview process, the hotel says.
