Is it news when nothing happens when a member of Congress meets constituents in public?

Perhaps because of the Tucson shootings, an otherwise routine meeting by Central Valley Rep. Jerry McNerney, D-Pleasanton, with dozens of constituents Thursday in Stockton was in the spotlight.
