Instead of commuting to bumper-to-bump traffic jams over the Altamont Pass to software jobs in Silicon Valley, San Joaquin County residents some day may find those jobs much closer to home.
That’s if education is aligned with the needs of business and industry in the 21st Century says Mike Ammann, president and CEO of the San Joaquin Partnership, a public-private group that recruits new companies to the Central Valley county.
