$30 Million housing development starts in Visalia

• 95 single-family homes are planned

San Joaquin Valley Homes says it has started construction on a $30 million 26-acre single-family residential project called San Marino that will offer 95 detached homes in northwest Visalia. A grand opening is tentatively scheduled for April.
"We're anticipating a very high demand due to a lack of inventory of larger new homes with high-end amenities," says Lissa Walker, director of marketing for San Joaquin Valley Homes, which is based in Visalia. "We're already receiving three to four inquiries a week, and we haven't opened a sales office yet. "
San Marino, located on a vacant piece of land at Riggin Avenue and South Shirk Road, will offer four floor plans and three elevations ranging from 2,219 to 3,250 square feet with three to six bedrooms. The homes will have tile roofs, courtyards, granite countertops and tile flooring.
Close to major employers, including Kaweah Delta Hospital, Visalia Medical Clinic, College of the Sequoias and Cigna Healthcare, the site is five minutes from Highway 99, a 10-minute drive from the Visalia Airport and is less than one hour to Fresno International Airport.
"Visalia has a small town feel yet you don't have to go far to find what you need," says Ms. Walker.
Presidio Residential Capital, a real estate investment company headquartered in San Diego, is the equity partner.
