Myers & Sons Construction is the apparent low bidder on a $21.9 million bridge project in Stockton, according to its parent company, Sterling Construction Company Inc. (NASDAQ: STRL) of The Woodlands, Texas.
The McHenry Avenue Corridor Improvements project consists of the replacement of an existing two-lane bridge that spans the Stanislaus River with a new 1,138 foot, 78.5 foot wide, five-frame bridge with 17,000 linear feet of stone column ground improvements.
The project is scheduled to begin in April and is expected to be completed by mid-2020.
“The McHenry Avenue Corridor Improvements project will significantly improve traffic circulation, safety, and air quality in Stockton,” says Paul Varello, Sterling’s chief executive officer.
