Nicola Grace is on a mission: She plans to change the world and some of the key foundations of capitalism.
The Australia-based author and business consultant says when businesses shift from being in business to make money to being in business to making more money by making a bigger difference in society that “we will not only transform the monetary system, we’ll transform the world.”
She says she hopes to do this by enlisting a million entrepreneurs worldwide to operate as social entrepreneurs who are clear on not just their business but on their life’s true mission.
“These days, more and more people are wanting to have a sense of fulfillment of purpose, a fulfillment of passion,” she says.
She says companies that do not have a purpose beyond making the bottom line are becoming dinosaurs and will gradually go out of business.
“I help businesses transition into a social business model, which is that strategy-with-spirit approach whereby there’s an impact that’s being made through the products and the services that you offer that has to do with fulfillment of the big life purpose.”

“If you don’t answer that calling when it happens, life starts to get a bit weird and sticky,” Ms. Grace says. “So I say listen to it now, explore it now, and then do the transition strategy so that you’re beginning to move in the direction of what you’re here to do and how you’re really here to contribute to humanity and out planet.”
