A 12-year U.S. Postal Service employee has admitted taking part in a scheme to accept counterfeit $20 bills over-the-counter from her boyfriend in exchange for postal money orders and cash, the U.S. Attorney’s Office says.
Andrea Lynn Gravelle, 38, who had worked as a counter clerk at the Hughson Post Office, is to be sentenced July 18. She faces up to five years in prison, as does her boyfriend, Rick Lee Snow, who also pleaded guilty to conspiracy and counterfeit currency charges.
Mr. Snow was on parole at the time of the crime, prosecutors say.

Her crime is nothing compared to the crimes of INCOMPETENT POSTAL MANAGERS nationwide!

This woman was put in a position of trust. She broke that trust by helping her boy friend out. It takes a lot to get in trouble working for the postal service. The postal service is about the only job left where there is any sence of longeviety left. Although there is no garuntee of job securiety left in the business world there is securiety in the postal service.
There are good and bad managers in every business. In the postal service it is that very job security that keeps unqualified managers in place. I will bet that the person who complained in the comment section has never approached thid manager and relayed his or her feelings. You would be suprised how well this works.
one of them i suppose 5/13/08 4:45 AM
craft employee complain about their supervisors and managers all the time-- good bad or indifferent. It is not managements fault that the craft CHOOSES to stay in the craft. It is not my fault that someone CHOOSES to stay a level 4 mail handler, a level 6 clerk or a city carrier. Not my fault. If you don't like the management that is in power, say something. Consructive criticism not destructive. If the craft thinks it can do a better job,
I will gladly give them my tie and clipboard and let them have a go at it

"It's not my fault" is the mantra of management.
you blame us when you do not make your numbers and then take the credit when you do.
We cannot speak up and call an incompetent manager into question because it always results in retaliation.
the only reason you are a manager, is because someone "vouched" for you. I have no problem working my craft and going home at the end of the day with no further thought. I do have a problem with my manager busting my balls because i was 10 minutes late on a rainy day. Or because i voiced my opinion. Or because i needed to take off a day to prepare for my kid's 5th b-day party. so why don't you realize that you are merely an extention of your employees, and respect that. or, just take your clip-board and put it up your exit route.

Please ignore RETIRED1. He is a disgruntled ex-employee. Seems his anger still resides.
Sad to see someone throw away a good job on a scheme that had little chance of success and a strong probability of failure.
